Better Together

Our minds are home to a lot of tangled thoughts, which become more and more dense the longer they remain there. It is only through healthy communication, support, sense of belonging and providing a safe space can these be untangled and the mind be freed of its demons.

Looking at the big picture, and society as a whole, the socitey has various fragments tangling within itself. These tangles often lead to a suffocating atmosphere, darkness, lost sense of self and a bleak future. No matter how different we are all from each other, in no matter what aspect, it is only through the unison of its people can the society sort itself out and move straight ahead beyond its limits.
We are a diverse society, with considerable amount of conflicts, both internal and external. Internal conflicts - within our hearts and minds leading to mental health issues; External conflicts - outside ourselves, but within the society which form the environment we find ourselves in.

We can only be better, together. One for all and all for one, taking care of each others' mental and societal well being.

Feelings, Relationships & Broken Beliefs

(Illustrated using original artwork by the author, Sonal Goel) Feelings. This word has started to sound like a taboo. Since when is it wrong to feel things? People say “ignore it”, “don’t think about it”, “don’t take it seriously”, “don’t be hurt”, Just. Don’t. Indifference is the new swag and “it’s cool” is the new language of indifference. Now we know what Linkin Park meant when they said: “I've become so numb I can't feel you there” We have reached the point where we prefer a state of numbness. Numbness is okay and even feels great. But, what happens when the effect wears off? The Feelings Flood. All that the dam of “numbness” was holding back comes rushing in. Suddenly, you start to feel everything at once. Guilt, shame, anger, irritation, hopelessness, helplessness and the worst one for me - OVERTHINKING. Personally, it’s a paradox - I was fine just two days ago and now it is all back? The moment it floods people who had settled in your life flee for their lives. Noone wan...

Hearts, Life & Voids

Life is highly dependent on this thing called “Heart” - both in the biological sense and in the other sense, when we refer to the emotional center of our brain and simply call it “the heart”. People often say things like “listen to your heart”, “home is where the heart is”, “the heart wants what it wants” and many more such phrases. Now when you take these phrases literally, it sets out  funny conversations in our minds. Something that goes like:  Okay, I need to listen to my heart, I am listening but all I can hear is thump thump! I don’t hear an answer to my dilemma. Home is where the heart is, the heart is in my body, so is that my address? Well, it is technically where I live and will continue to live as long as I live. But, I thought home was a place where I felt comfortable and could be myself. Did someone give me the wrong directions?! *opens Google Maps* The heart wants what it wants. Blood? More blood? Fully functioning arteries? A massage?? Yes, they do massa...
